Wonderful Ramato!! The bouquet presents fruity aromas of cherry and cranberry, followed by notes of species and menthol. The mouth is dry, very fruity, always in the flavours of red berries like cooked cranberries and black cherries with a nice presence of tannins in the end. Quite compact and shy at the opening, definitely needs some time to open up.
Ramato is a historical style of producing Pinot Grigio in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region of Italy, where Pinot Grigio has been grown for hundreds of years, it comes from the word ‘rame’ which means ‘copper’ in Italian.
