The Story of Harry 2020 - White Wine
Region: Swartland, South Africa
Grape: Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay
Style: Light and crispy wine
Pair with: Goats cheese, salads, grilled fish
The nose is redolent of lemon zest with smoked ay and an effusive sea water-like
component, almost like a clam bake! The aromas continue and give way to a feint note of white peach skin and a sight herbal twang. The palate is vivid and constricted at the same time giving you just a little bit at a time but with air, the palate matches the nose with beautiful fruit expressions unfolding. It is an elegant and understated wine.
Harry is a fictional character and one of the locals working in the vineyards. Just like all the other locals, Harry dries his washing by hanging it onto the farm fences and it lights up the Swartland with these bright colours.
