Denavolo - Dinavolo 2018
Type: Orange
Region: Emilia Romagna, Italy
Grapes: Malvasia, Marsanne, Ortugo, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano
This white wine has a light, slightly cloudy amber color. The aroma is complex, with vegetal, yellow-spicy, and mushroomy notes, as well as floral and bacony nuances. There is a lot of yeast, and the yellow-fruity aromas are rather restrained. There is a hint of fennel and a trace of rock candy.
The palate is clear, tart, and fine-juicy, with distinct yeasty notes. There are also vegetal, floral, and slightly mushroomy tones, as well as some yellow spice and nutty traces. The acidity is very fine, and the tannins are grippy and friable. The wine is persistent, with a touch of bacony flavor and some depth. It is quite complex and very good.
The finish is tart, with chalky and yeasty tones, yellow spice, cool juice, and again noticeable tannic grip.
