Cuvée K 2008
Region: Bordeaux Supérieur, France
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Style: Ripe and elegant red
Classic Bordeaux finesse, aged in barrels for 12 to 18 months, then in bottles for another 8 to 9 years, released only when ready. Not many producers in France practice this kind of work ethic.
The wine presents a complex bouquet of dark berry, plum, cedar, violet, and tobacco. On the palate, it presents great density silky tannins, the bottle aging adds notes of cassis, licorice, pepper, and a dash of leather. Will be the perfect partner for duck magret, and aged meats.
