Established in the Loire Valley, France in 2003, they were determined to grow and make the best Chenin Blanc possible. The Jousset’s fundamental and profound respect for nature led them to exclude herbicides and pesticides in favor of the balance that biological diversity promises down to the microscopic level. They believe that to make an original wine it is necessary to have living soils with high microbial activity, a “living” vine, and a balanced life between plants and animals in all of the domain’s parcels.

Region: Montlouis-Sur-Loire, France

Grapes: Chenin Blanc

Style: Ancestral sparkling

A rare aged pet-nat! Beautifully developed aromas of honey, baked apple, flowers and mushrooms wrapped in yeasty notes of baked pastry. The palate starts off smooth and fresh, becomes rich mid-way and finishes tight and chalky.

Style: Deep and mineral white

Initially, the profile is rich and broad, with nuances of caramel, ripe cantaloupe, and ginger cake, although it does tighten up and follows with aromas of yellow peach, and budding flowers with a polished but undeniably fresh and mineral style at the end. This wine is fruity and juicy, flavoursome and generous, It remains long, punchy and energetic

Grapes: Chenin Blanc

Style: Deep and mineral white

Flavours of pear, peach, lemon, orange, honey, lavender and stony salt, bits of pineapple and baking spices in the mix as well. The body has a rich texture, slenderized by a nice crisp finish. With such complexity, this wine deserves the company of a fine piece of fish or a delicate white meat dish.

 

Singulier 'Clos aux Renards' 2017

Region: Montlouis-sur-Loire, France

Grapes: Chenin Blanc

Style: Creamy and structured white

This is a wonderfully elegant Chenin Blanc showing a bright pale-gold colour and beautiful aromas of creamy citrus, dried pear, fresh herbs, stone and smoke. There is an impression of sweetness but the palate is dry with ripe pear, peach and apricot fruit with stone and mineral flavours, chalky texture and fabulous length.

The Montlouis "Singulier - Clos aux Renards" is a dry Montlouis made from 60 to 80 year old Chenin Blanc vines on clay soils called "Aubuis" over Turonian limestone.

 

Trait d'Union 2018

Region: Montlouis-sur-Loire, France

Grape: Chenin Blanc

Style: Semi-Sweet

Wonderful Demi-Sec with aromas of earth, lemon, honey, brown spice, lime-flower and ripe pear. The palate is round, ripe and delicate with saline mineral flavours blending with lemon compote, white fruits and stone. Dense but light on its feet.
