4 Versions of Kaefferkopf Grand Cru
Discover 4 Versions of Kaefferkopf Grand Cru
Journey through the vision of Christin Binner, Guru of Alsace. Taste 4 different versions of Kaefferkopf Grand Cru.
Divided into several units, The Kaefferkopf, or Head of the Scarab, are 6 hills that surround the village of Ammerschwihr, of which the best slopes are classified as Grand Cru. Which probably gave the name to this Grand Cru ... unless it is due to these magnificent green-blue beetles that are more and more present now that weedkillers and other pesticides are less used in this terroir, our municipality being among the most “organic” in Alsace!
Kaefferkopf wines are intense, full-bodied and complex. They often express spicy notes with a round attack on the mouth. They are also marked by fresh acidity with a beautiful, delicious finish. The elegant balance is due to the harmony between the lingering, generous attack along with the fresh finish.
